What We Listening To: Thank You, Lake Arbor !

Everyone, if they tried could probably find a memory of a place that means a lot to them. Could be a neighborhood they grew up in, a school they met their best friend, a summer camp they had that life changing moment.

For GKD, Sébago & JohnnyJon Lake Arbor is that place and they delivered to it a fitting love letter of sorts with the 11 track project.

With producer JohnnyJon setting the tone with his signature production, GKD & Sébago find themselves showing a range of skills - singing or bars both find the perfect balance over JohnnyJon beats. Speaking of the bars, the duo doesn’t miss. If it’s content and subject matter, they got it. Punchlines and metaphors, those too.

My one gripe, album length, was addressed in an interview the crew gave to High Codes The Podcast, but quality over quantity for them boys from Lake Arbor !!
