Not Minding Our Business
Here we go minding people business again.
I don’t know if you know or care but a democratic U.S. senate candidate in North Carolina has been caught sexting with a woman whom is not his wife. You can read the full story here, with all the juicy details.
The Haziethoughts summary, Cal Cunningham was caught sexting a woman. Not really anything crazy in the messages to me at least. It read like cheesy 15-year-old flirting, “I’d love to roll over and kiss you right now.” essentially was what the message read. They weren’t even sending nasty pics, very blah to say the least.
Cunningham, who has two teenage children with his wife Elizabeth, stated in a statement that he would handle this matter privately with his family and asked that others respect the family’s privacy at the time.
And I will do just that. What people do in their marriages shouldn’t be of concern to you (obviously there are exceptions: abuse and things of that nature don’t be dense), even if they’re running for elected official. Now if you believe cheating on one’s spouse is an indication of their character and how they may or may not govern, then it is well within YOUR right to have those feelings and act accordingly.
Please do not let my lack of care for others marital shortcomings as an endorsement of cheating. You shouldn’t cheat on your wife/spouse, but remember Beyonce & Jay Z were able to turn cheating into multiple albums, one classic (Lemonade) and they’re considered goals.
Since none of you are Beyonce or Jay Z, mind your business and the business of others too.
And go vote - even if your options are alleged cheaters, alleged racists and a host of other not so good things.
