Broccoli City Festival 2020 and in the few years of its existence is solidifying itself as one of the premiere festivals on the east coast. While I have personally vowed never to attend a musical festivals again in this lifetime( yes I know, very pretentious of me) broccoli city looks like the one to bring me back out. 

Broccoli festival has always had a knack for having a bill reflective of what the surrounding area is listening to and not worrying about having the biggest names in music. 

Think of broccoli city festival as the ultimate day party in the district, and in DC fashion the promoters knew who to bring out to bring the people out. Roddy Rich and Da Baby sa headliners for the mostly 35 & under crowd is spot on. The mix of Ari Lennox & Megan the Stallion as your two stand out women acts is spot on. The undercard of Doja Cat (I really like her music), Burna Boy, & Lucky Daye is perfect for the international alternativish music scene, spot on. 

Overall it’s a great bill of performers and for a one day festival of relevant artist, this may be as gif as it gets. 

With tickets currently going for $69.50 broccoli city may have the best festival deal out now.
